How to design jewelry with 3D printing
Firstly we create a file.This 3D file holds the information about what object the printer is supposed to print. These 3D files are generated with special 3D modeling software RhinoGold.
Next, one or more wax sprues will be attached to your model. Then your model will be attached by the sprue to a wax ‘tree’, together with several other models. The tree is then placed in a flask and covered in a fine plaster. When the plaster solidifies, it forms the mold for casting the metal. The plaster mold is then put in an oven and heated for several hours to the point where the wax is completely burned out.
Last but not least, we Cast the jewelry wax in iron, copper ,gold, silver
Pre-requisites
Basic computer skill are necessary, Knowing how to log in to google and send emails is a must. If student doesnt know the basic operation of windows operating system. Candidate must apply for a basic computer class before taking this course.
Duration
The course duration is 75 class hours or 3 months(Express class is 2 weeks 40 hours per week)
How we Teach?
We will learn by doing, by providing a presentation, and providing the tools to work through the processes presented. Learning 3D Rhino is something best learned by doing, by applying skills to the 3D Rhino application.
In addition we will provide PDF files that can be downloaded and printed. The PDF files allow us a supplemental resource and can be used offline. The PDF files provide us with a hard copy reference to refer back to and something we can use to help explain concepts to others. If you are new to 3D Rhino we recommend working through the material from start to finish.
All Certification Testing is done in our Campus.
This course will give a certificate of completion.
